PhD research

My PhD research is focusesd on the viability of generative AI as a useful collaborator in a process led art practice (music). AI generated compositions and motifs serve as the basis for bespoke works that hinge on collaboration between human artist and AI model. The use of generative AI in this practice is borne out of its relevance in the zeitgeist of art discussion, the inherent ethical ramifications of its use, and how it can be harnessed as a collaborative extension of human creative output.
